Overview
This policy describes how RunThatUp collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile apps, websites, and related services. It is written in general terms so it can apply across our products and platforms.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as account details (for example, name, email, username, and profile photo), content you post, and messages you send in the app.
We also collect information created through use of the service, including event participation, leaderboard results, device identifiers used for notifications, approximate or precise location if you enable location features, and technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.
If you join a paid event or receive payouts, payment details are processed by our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers.
Health and Fitness Data
If you choose to connect a health platform (such as Apple Health or Android Health Connect), we read activity data you authorize — typically steps, distance, and energy burned — so we can record your progress in events and update rankings.
This data is used only to operate fitness features you opt into. We do not sell health or fitness data, and we do not use it for advertising. You can revoke access at any time in your device or health-platform settings. Revoking access does not automatically delete data already uploaded; you can request deletion as described below.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide, maintain, and improve the service; to run events, leaderboards, chat, and live streams; to process payments and prevent fraud; to send service messages and optional notifications; and to comply with law and enforce our terms.
How We Share Information
We share information with service providers who help us operate the product (for example hosting, analytics, communications, payments, and media). We may share information if required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer.
Some information is public or visible to other participants by design, such as your profile and event results. We do not sell your personal information.
Retention and Security
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your Choices
You can access and update much of your information in the app, control notification and permission settings on your device, and request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us. Applicable privacy laws may give you additional rights, which we will honor where they apply.
Children
RunThatUp is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
